Every week, Publix takes $2 off one featured whole deli sub: a Boar's Head turkey sub for about $8.99 instead of $10.99, or the Publix Deli Ultimate Sub for about $7.99 instead of $9.99, for example. The featured sub changes with the weekly ad, you can customize it however you like, and it works at the counter, online and in the Publix app with no coupon.

Questions people ask
How do I know which sub is on sale this week?
Publix lists it on the deli weekly specials page at publix.com, in the weekly ad, and in the app's order-ahead deli section. The deal runs for the full ad week.
Can I customize the sub?
Yes. The $2 discount applies to the featured sub regardless of bread, cheese and toppings, so you can build it your way.
Does it work on half subs?
The discount is on the whole sub. A whole sub is two meals for most people, which is part of the value.
What's the healthiest way to order it?
Whole wheat or multigrain bread, turkey or chicken, extra vegetables, and mustard or oil and vinegar instead of mayo keeps it around 600 to 700 calories for a whole sub.

How DailyBite verifies this: the daily refresh re-checks each weekly grocery deal against the store's own site, weekly ad or FAQ, and the owner tests deals in person. Prices vary by store and division, and counters sell out: the price you pay is the one on the shelf tag that day.
